Alright so you wanna do a hair bow a la Gaga.
Here's whatcha do:
This works best on hair that is slightly dirty or that has been curled:)
First step: Make yourself a super cute high ponytail. I prefer messy ponies, but you can do a smooth pony, or a low side pony, or a half pony; the possibilies are endless!
2. Take a little piece from the underside of your pony and wrap around the hair band ( I occasionally skip this part; it's really up to you.)
3. Next take a small pinch from the front and pin out of the way. Divide the remaining hair into two big chunks.
4. Tease one of your hair chunks until it is big and 80's esque. Take your ends and begin rolling it under itself, creating a bump. This takes practice so don't get frustrated :) Pin the roll to the base of your pony.
5. Repeat on chunk number dos.
6. Take the remaining pinch of hair and lightly tease. Roll and pin to the back base of your pony.
You can play with your bow at this point to place it how you want, or to make fluffier. I take a small brush and smooth the top layer of bowness before spraying down with hairspray. You'll end up with something like this (as you can see, I skipped step number 2 on this one):
