Chic Chignon for Christmas

I hope my language lovers out there appreciate my use of alliteration. I thought it was quite clever!

(I know that TECHNICALLY it doesn't count, because it's not three times in a row, but whatever, almost no one knows that. So give me a break mmmk?)

The Chic Chignon:

I love this updo, for many reasons: it's easy, it's fast, it's simple, and you can switch it up so many different ways.  Low bun, high bun, middle bun, side bun. Or for our Star Wars friends, pigtail buns a la Princess Leah!

To Master the Chic Chignon you will need:

An elastic.
A sock ( you heard me.)

That's it!

To start:

1. Take your sock and cut the toe part off, about an inch or so. Begin rolling the sock onto itself until it looks like a donut: Voila.

2. Pull your hair into a ponytail, positioned wherever you want your bun to be. I made mine a messy, low pony, but this could look really nice in a smooth pony as well.

3. Place the end of your pony through the donut hole:

4. Roll your ends into the donut, and continue to roll up till you reach your head.

And you're done! add a sparkly clip for an Christmas party, or smooth your pony and don some flashy earrings for an evening out!

Next week I will show the before, during and after pictures of Operation Kitchen: bringing Kaleigh's Kitchen into the 21st Century. I'm so excited!!!!

Lot's of Happy Weekend Love!

  3. I give you full alliteration approval. I don't know who said it had to be three times in a row. I think they just made that rule up.
