I think I'm in love with this outfit. Comfy, cute, chic, with a slash of red lippy? I'm totally down. I had a few qualms about the sweater being too short to wear with leggings, but guess what people: I wear my leggings as pants.
Yes, I admitted it. I wear my leggings, as many times as I can possibly get away with, as pants. At first I was a leader of the "Leggings Are Not Pants" group. In fact, I was President. But then I tried it out one day at home. Just rolling around the house in an oversize tee. Hmm...this is quite nice actually. But I didn't ever go out in public. Then I just running to the mall, so I thought I'd leave my leggings on...hmmmm. No one tried to torch me.
And that was when I became a Leggings Gal. All the time, any time, every day if possible. I haven't tried it at work (I don't think I will be anytime soon, I'm not that brave, and I quite like my job.) But I'd totally be on board if we could just make Casual Day a Leggings Day. I think I'll suggest that at the next meeting.
(Is it just me and my ingrained country-ness, or do you catch yourself writing "leggins" instead of "leggings"? I had to go back and check my spelling. Each time I had wrote leggins. O well!)

ReplyDeleteI'm always down for leggings (leggins in Oklahoma) even us older women can wear them tastefully if the top is right and age appropriate. I loooove this look on you !!! Those blue slippers are epic!

Unless you have a perfect ass and are somehow completely immune to camel toe, I still don't think you should wear leggings as pants. One's top should cover one's crotch. Do you want men to start running around in bike shorts? It's too much detail.

ReplyDeleteI will admit that I have been overly judgmental of the leggins-as-pants crowd. I used to be a strict leggins-under-dresses-ONLY kind of girl. But I will admit that lately, if my shirt mostly covers my crotch, I will go out in public in them because they are SO GOSH DANG COMFORTABLE. Also, you're looking particularly blonde just now and I am so jealous!!! :)
