Messy Bun Tutorial

So you wanna make a messy bun like this:

1. Start with hair that is curly, or slightly old (1-2 days). Tease the crown area.

2. Pull hair into a messy pony tail, pulling a few strands out to frame your face.

3. Twist tightly into a bun.

4. Pin into place using a combination of hair pins and bobby pins.

(These are hair pins)

5. Pull on your bun until it is as loose and messy as you desire.

VOILA!

Tips:

-Don't worry about it being "secure". If it feels a little loose, good. What the heck are you going to be doing that requires your hair be glued into place? The key word here is MESSY. I wore my hair like this on an extremely windy day and had no problems.

- Use hairspray. It'll keep those fly aways going hay wire.

- If you feel a bit like Martha Washington, good. You've got it. (At least that's how I feel when I wear my hair like this, and I always get compliments, so apparently Martha= good!)
