Dear little Kaleigh

Dear little Kaleigh

I know you won't believe this, but one day you're going to be 23. I know. Weird. You'll be 23 and happy. You'll have moved away from home, you'll actually be paying bills, and you won't have buck teeth anymore. But no fear, you're still a dork and you still love taking baths. So not too much will change.

Stop fighting with your sister so much. She's going to be your best friend one of  these days, and pretty soon she'll move away and you won't have her there all the time. So cherish your moments together, because they'll become more and more infrequent as you get older.

Stop worrying about boys so much. They're really not that cool, and (thankfully) you're not going to end up with any of the ones you know right now, so just relax. You're not going to miss him. He'll find you.

Take more chances. Don't let your fears dictate your actions.

For the love of all that is holy, please just clean your freaking room. Mom will eventually give up, you will take your bad habits with you into your own home, and then you'll feel soooo stupid for not just listening to Mom and learning to be neat.

Middle school isn't all that bad. You'll survive. I promise.

DO NOT CUT YOUR HAIR OFF IN 4TH GRADE!!! You will regret it for the rest of your life. You will wish you could burn any picture taken from that time period.

All those people that  are making fun of you? They all turn out to be losers. Laugh right back at them.

NEVER hide the fact that you read like a maniac. People eventually think it's cool, and you can feel superior because you know all these words that other people don't.

Your nose bleeds will stop. You're welcome.

Idea from Casey Leigh
