Engaged

So Mr. Darcy and I had discussed marriage before, but I had always figured it would be far off down the road since Mr. Darcy hasn't finished his under grad yet, and we are kind of poor, and because Mr. Darcy had point blank told me so. Multiple times.

Unbeknown to me, Mr. Darcy had gotten a ring and spoke to my parents back in January, and was waiting till our trip to San Fran to ask. I had mentioned that I would like to have my sister Courtney there to see us get engaged, if it was at all possible.

 Sweet Mr. Darcy remembered and let my sister in on the secret. On Saturday, March 17th we walked to Pier 39 and this is what happened.

What the heck is he...no way.... "Shut up." (No I really did say that.)

Deep breath in....and...

The hysterical sobbing starts...

Yep. He's still there. This isn't a joke. More sobbing.

...still sobbing. I think I was trying to come up with a coherent thought but my brain had gone on a quick bathroom break and forgot to tell the rest of my body.

Finally Mr. Darcy asked if I was going to say anything, and I tried to say yes but all that came out was sobs so I had to nod.

Luckily that was ok with him

O cute Ka, wipe snot all over your hands like a 4 year old.  Pretty sure I was hiccuping at this point.

Trying to smile and and kiss him, but the tears just weren't finished yet. So I ended up just mashing my face against his as I continued to hysterically sob. I swear I was happy.

Court was snapping pictures like crazy the entire time, and I'm so glad she was there! Drew was videoing, you can check that out on the bottom.

Best sister ever :)

And best engagement ever. I still can't truly fasten my mind around the fact that we're engaged. It seems so surreal. I did have a few suspicions that something was going on before we left, but I just chalked them up to hopes and figured my highly active imagination was leading me into trouble. It's actually a miracle that Mr. Darcy was able to keep it a secret from me. I'm kind of notorious for snooping and figuring secrets out.
