The Puppies

I haven't talked about my puppies in a while. In fact, I don't think I ever introduced my new puppy. So here ya go!

Full Name: Joseph Oliver

Nicknames: JoJo, JoJo Bear, Yo-seph, Mojo-jojo

Birthday: October 2011

Breed: um...mutt? Some sort of mixture, the pound thought St. Bernard and Corgi mix (can we say ouch?), but I'm not sure. He's longish, stumpy and round. And a cutie:)

Story: I was coerced into getting Joey from the pound. What girl can visit such a horrid place as the pound and NOT walk out with at least one of those poor guys? Joey had been bought off line by a lady who thought he was a maltese (idiot.) When she realized he wasn't, she just chucked him out. He is spoiled rotten and the most darling little boy you could ever hope for.

Likes: burrowing under the blankets and sleeping the day away. Slipping through the fence and playing in the neighbors yard. Sticking his head out the car window. Gnawing on this humongous bone that's about as long as he is.

Dislikes: his crate.

Full Name: Maverick Lupin (Maverick from Top Gun (Greg's favorite movie) and Lupin from Harry Potter. Yep. Go ahead and laugh.)

Nicknames: Maver-doodle, DoodleBug, Mavers, Maver-Kadaver, Kadaverick, Brother Bear.

Breed: Labradoodle (Labrador and Poodle)

Birthday: May 2011

Story: I was moving into my house, and Greg and I decided to get a puppy as our 1 year anniversary present. Nevermind that the puppy would have to stay with me and I'd be the one taking care of it, it was a present to me :) We looked online for about a week and I came across this little lamb. We drove 3 hours to pick him up and as soon as his ridiculously long, gangly legs were in my arms I was in love. Maverick is the sweetest guy you could ever meet. He cuddles with me at night and puts his big ol' paw on my shoulder when I'm upset. He goes EVERYWHERE with me. I was terrified to sleep by myself before I got Mav. He's my guard dog :)

Likes: Playing at Drandma and Drandpa's house, going for car rides, bopping Joey on the head, sleeping on Mom's feather pillows, and English Breakfast tea.

Dislikes: Bath time. When anyone knocks on the door. Being shut out of a room. The hair dryer. The vaccuum. What can I say, he's my big 50 lb cry baby.
