i'm LIVING with my PARENTS!

Justice (yes the teeny-bopper store) sweater, Target peplum top, Forever21 belt, Charlotte Russe pencil skirt, leaf heels via Cloverleaf ( local boutique)

For those of you who don't know the quote in my title, you need to watch Just Friends. It's literally one of my favorite movies of all time.

So I'm officially moved back in with my parental units! Mr. Darcy and I decided that since between the two of us I make the most consistent money, it just makes sense for me to move home and start saving for the wedding ( Mr. Darcy works for his dad's autograph company A Sign of the Times and works part time jobs when soccer season is over since he's an immigrant and can't work full time)

Since I was renting a house from Mr. Darcy's parents, I've now moved home and Mr. Darcy and one of his friends moved into the house, hopefully making a future wedding financially possible.

PROS & CONS of living with your parents
PROS
walk in closet. Cue the Hallelujah chorus
food is more readily available (this might be a con, I tend to snack a lot more here than I did at my own house)
hanging out with my sweet little sister and not so little anymore brother
Mommy daughter talks.
CRAFT NIGHTS.
My daddy readily available to fix whatever handyman situation as arisen. (Flat tires are my worst enemy)

CONS
already got griped at for leaving a glass out and not putting it in the sink.
indentured servant.
twin bed again. Nothin like a twin bed to make you feel like you're 12 again.
slightly farther away from work so I might actually have to get up on time now.
sharing a bathroom

But in all seriousness, I could not be more grateful to my sweet family for helping us out and allowing me to move back home till the wedding. Oh and we've kind of sort of began to tentatively set a date! We're thinking April 26th, 2014.

If I'm living at home till 2014, my savings account better be amazing. ( it wont be.)

HAPPY FRIDAY! Have a wonderful weekend everyone :)

  1. HAHA I feel your pain, but you're gonna be so much happier with your savings account in just a few months I'm sure! You look adorable in your photos too. I buy things from kids sections all the time, so no judgement here. Have a great weekend darling!!! xx, Allie

  4. I live at home to save money too (I graduated college in May 2011) and it definitely has its ups and downs. It sounds like a great idea for your situation though, so you made a smart choice!

  5. Indentured servant! Bahahaha!
I'm glad to see your Daddy cleared up the glass situation in his comment. You haven't been home long enough for the milk to congeal in a cup yet! Looking forward to those Mommy/Daughter talks and craft nights. Especially wedding crafts! :) LOVE YOU BUNCHES!!!

  7. I moved back in with my mom for the summer before my wedding. It just seemed ridiculous to throw away money on rent when I could be saving it! You look so cute by the way. Love the top and sweater together!

  8. I have totally been in your shoes. My only problem was that it was hard for me to save money because I just shopped more when I lived with my mom. Uggh-the irony! BTW-you look great-the mix of prints is FAB!
