The top knot

There is one particular hairstyle that is becoming increasingly popular this spring, and I am thoroughly on the bandwagon; the ballerina bun. It's so stinkin easy, and how great is it to rat your hair out, stick it in a messy bun, and be able to say, "no I wasn't running late/forgot to wash my hair! This is the latest trend!"

This one is particularly Pish Posh-esque. Don't be surprised if you see a copy of that bow on here one of these days.

I love the versatility of this look. It can be messy and curly or smooth and sophisticated, and both take about 5 minutes tops!

Another smoothy bun. Personally, I suspect a faux-bun was used here, but that's just me :)

So I decided to attempt a "bird's nest bun" myself, along with some middle-parted bangs:

And here's a look at the back. I must say, while I ADORE this look and how easy it is, I think I might need 1.Longer hair or 2.Just MORE hair. O well, more hairspray and amp up the usage of the teasing comb!!!!
