Weddings and Devil Cookies

Photography by RebecahKolePhotography

I love doing hair for weddings; it's literally one of my dearest joys in life. Something about making girls feel pretty just makes me feel good. I like knowing that I'm using the gifts God gave me to make others happy. And I get to play dress up which is always fun, I don't care if your 12 or 112.

Even better though is to do hair for a wedding of someone you love and have been dear friends with since Braces Day ( AKA never speak of those days ever again and burn all proof). Which is what happened here! My dear friend Lori got married and I got to do her hair! YAY!

Little snippet about Lori Lou:
We've been friends since Middle School, and we actually went to school with Matt. They didn't ever date till college where they fell in love and lived Happily Ever, but Lori actually had a crush on Matt during high school. How presh is that?! I love them very much; they are such a sweet couple and are so dear to my heart. Belated congrats Lori and Matt! The wedding was STUNNING and Lori you looked gorgeous as always :)

On another note, here's a recipe for these splendiferous cookies. Seriously they're addictive. I call them Devil cookies ( calm down, put the holy oil away, they're not satanic) because you use a Devil's food cake mix. And that's it! My sweet Aunt Gigi gave me the recipe; they've turned into quite the family tradition.

So with out further ado:

Devil Cookies or Cookies You'd Happily Gain Poundage For:

- 1 package Devil's food cake
- 2 eggs
-1/3-1/2 cup oil (I try not to use the whole 1/2 cup)
- 1/2 package choc chips
-1/2 package other chips ( I usually use peanut butter chips but I used white chocolate the other day and they were pretty delish as well)

- Mix together, blop onto a cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 8-10 min. They'll still look all mushy; they're supposed to. Let cool and see who can eat the most. Just kidding. I totally didn't do that.

Lots of wedding and cookie love,

Ka.
(Where's my KA signature? Not a clue. O well!)
