Wedding Update

Forever 21 Chambray top, Oldnavy slacks (chopped off by mua), Target necklace and wedges

So I've gotten a couple questions about where Mr. Darcy and I are at wedding wise and I thought I'd give you all an update!

- We do not have a date set.
-We do not have a place yet.
-I don't know where we want to go on our honeymoon
-I don't know my color scheme, nor do I really think I need to have a color scheme. How about just COLOR?
- We're not positive about our wedding party yet
-We don't have a CLUE who we want to cater

Here's what we DO have set:
- our first dance
- our cake
- my walk in song
- our walk out song

Yep. Dessert and music. The most important parts, besides the clothes, in my opinion.

So we haven't made any big decisions yet. Due to the fact that our families and friends are scattered across two countries, and the fact that we are poor as church mice, and the fact that Mr. Darcy isn't finished with his undergrad yet, (run on sentence much?) we have decided that the wedding will be sometime in 2014.

Yep. 2014. Sometime around March...ish? That's about as specific as I can get right now folks.

While on one hand I think GOSH 2014?! EFF that's forever away! On the other hand, I see how many decisions we have to make and how many we have made in the 2 months since we've been engaged and think huh maybe a long engagement isn't such a bad idea!

I'll, of course, inform you all of any great decisions we end up making. But whatever it ends up looking like, just know it will be LEGENDARY (name that show).

And yes I post two outfits in one week wearing the same shirt. But they're from two separate weeks. I'm tricksy like that.

Other random news, Shay has thrown down a challenge and I'm totally picking it up so be looking for a picture of me in something like this soon.

Oh yes.

Happy Weekend!

  3. It's great that you are having a longer engagement so you won't have to rush quite as much. :) We had a 15 month engagement and towards the end I felt crazed! It will be easier to plan things once you set a date and venue. Have a great weekend, Kaleigh!

  4. Listen Peter, now I will stop losing sleep over the fact that you haven't asked me to be your maid of honor yet. It's been exhausting.. just waiting and waiting.. and crying and crying..

(your readers probably think you're a total jerk, or I'm a lunatic) ;)

Listen, those pj's they're gonna be great. you better have a newspaper, cup of coffee, and a teddy bear in your arms. i know you still sleep with one.

  5. I love the no color scheme idea! It is more you to not have boundaries with color! And Legen.. wait for it... dary (How I meet you mother)! And you also have a Tolkien reference in there, not sure if you know that or not (Trisky - Gollum)! Love you!

  6. Love those shoes! So cute! And of course the rest of the outfit is fabulous too, as usual. You always look so cute! Me and my husband were only engaged for 4 and a half months... it was crazy. We actually wanted to have a tiny wedding so it would have been fine, but I didn't realize how opinionated our friends and family would be about that. On the other side of things I'm thinking, wow long engagement, that actually sounds really nice! No regrets on when we got married, just wish it had been less stressful! So enjoy your time, you'll be thankful later.

wedding planning is soooo fun! Music and Food were the most important to us, I knew what food i wanted served before i even thought about colors and location ;)
