How Kaleigh Does It: Dry Shampoo

Good morning frands!

Today I am starting a new project called

There are a ton of awesome tutorials out there. Some posts that I have thought about doing before, I've discarded because I felt like so many other people were putting tutorials out there for the same thing. But I keep getting requests! So I've decided that I will title these posts "How Kaleigh does it" because these tutorials will be tried and trusted by mua! Things that I use or advice I can give about stuff I know.

So for my first post, here is a look at how I use dry shampoo.

Dry shampoo is literally on my top 10 Favorite Inventions Ever list (along with hair straightners, air conditioners, and gummie bears). It saves my life on a daily basis.
yes. daily.
I use dry shampoo all the time, not just on days that my hair resembles Alfalfa from Little Rascals.

OK so let's get started!

Start with dry, just brushed hair (unless your hair is curly or you want it to be ratty. I brush mine through when it's straight and leave it ratty when it's curly)

Lift a section of hair from the top and spray your dry shampoo underneath.

continue to do this around your head, as far down you would like. I personally don't go any lower than about my temples, but it's up to you.

Do NOT brush your hair. With your fingers, gently shake your hair around to distribute the powder. This will also cause any white spots you might have to disappear.

Feel around your hair, adding more shampoo to any spots that still feel icky.

Here is a gif of the finger motion I was talking about, in case you are confused :)
 cool huh? :)

and there you have it! Easy as pie. The reason why I don't brush my hair after I've sprayed the shampoo is because I feel like it just brushes all of the shampoo out and leaves the oil. I also use dry shampoo on clean hair days because it gives my hair a nice texture to it, eliminating that squeaky "too clean" feeling.

Where did you get that:
