Well Hello there Guys and Gals!
Looking at these pictures, I'm almost embarrassed to say that I remind myself vaguely of my 7th grade homeroom (or "Warrior Time") teacher who we called The Cat Lady. Literally I can't remember her real name, just The Cat Lady. The name originated long before I crossed her threshold, from some other class that swore up and down she had told them she was a cat in another life. The story evolved from there, morphing into little side stories, like the one where she actually got up on her desk and started lapping up a saucer of milk. Oh the things kids can come up with.
The woman was terrifying and gave me the only detention I ever had in my entire school history (It was reading day and I left my book in my locker. ME. Who probably had not the one requisite book, but 10 other options in my locker as well.) She also had crazy hippie hair and wore it in this huge bun that my hair kind of resembles. Minus the crazy white streak (proof of her cat-ness) in the front and the chopsticks/berretts/clips that she would use to hold up the whole mass.
Why am I telling you this story? Because it needs to be heard. Mrs. Cat Lady needs to be immortalized on my blog for something other than her crazy-hippie-cat-tendencies.
Thanks for the hair inspiration, Mrs. Cat Lady, wherever you are.

ReplyDeleteSuch a cute outfit!! I also had a "crazy cat lady" teacher in middle school... it was our music teacher and she always wore this hideous pant suit with embroidered cats all over it. Kids would hide under the piano and make meowing noises... and she never.noticed!! Good times. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's hilarious. Isn't crazy how we remember our teachers? They even influence fashion choices in later years! Adorable outfit!
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is so cute and I love your hair! I also enjoyed your story about the cat lady haha.
