1st-ISH day at Root66!

SOOOOOO this was technically my second day at the shop, but I like saying first because:
1. It was really the first big service I did
2. To be able to say my first day on the job I did a full head bleach out is pretty impressive, dont you think? Of course it wasn't my first choice. I didn't dream of doing a bleach out on black hair the first day I went to a salon. But Aunt Vicky just kind of threw me in, and VOILA! The baby bird can fly.
SOOOOO here we go
Poor Sara, your hair will live in infamy. On my blog.
Sara has strawberry blonde hair naturally, and for some reason she decided to cover up a color most women would sell a leg and an arm and possibly some teeth for with BLACK.
Exhibit A.
We bleached it out, washed her, then bleached again. I'm going to have to hand out some blog-props to my girl Sara. I never once heard a peep from her, even though it must've been slightly frying her scalp skin to have that bleach on her head for that long ( PULEASE people, do NOT decide to never give me a chance just because I admit that bleach can fry your scalp. You know your eye doctor could possibly poke you blind, yet you still go. You know your dentist is going to do atrocious things to your teeth yet you still book apointments. I at least make you feel good and look good after you leave me! Can your docs say that? I think not.)
So this is what her hair looked like after two bleach outs:

Needless to say I think she was skurred. But our fearless leader ( no not me, Aunt Vicky) had a plan. She whipped up a hair-color cocktail:

And ten minutes ( plus a wash, blowdry, hair cut, and straightening) later, Sara was no longer Wednesay Adams:

Love it. Very fun times at the Root.

Moral of the story? Don't dye your hair black. Believe me, I am speaking from experience. PERSONAL experience. There is a reason I chose cosmetology for my career of choice, and it definitely had something slightly to do with warning the future generations. No not really it was really I just love doing hair, but it sounds good, and I will definitely put my own experiences to good use!

Thanks guys! Tell you friends!

LOVE

Kaleigh
