Hidden Treasurers at the Walmart

Umbrella button down: Modern Amusement sample sale (thanks seestor); skirt: Forever 21; boots: Target

Yes I agree that's quite the hideous curtain in the back. I still haven't decided what to do with that monstrocity. Leave it up and shudder everytime I see it, or let all the peeping Tom's see in my front door?
hmmm....

In other news, the other day I was stuck at Walmart and decided to peruse the makeup aisle. I don't normally buy makeup from Wally. Not that I have anything against drug store makeup; just against Wally. I'm a Target girl.

But I was there and bored and waiting on some paint, so I decided to browse, and I hit the jack pot.

From left to right: Hard Candy Kal-eye-descope Baked Eyeshadow duo in Blind Date; ELF blush in Pink Passion; NYC Color Wheel Mosaic Face Powder; Hard Candy Walk the Line liquid eyeliner in turquoise; NYC Individual Eyes for Blues in Bryant Park.

So here's me au natural. Cute huh. Please excuse the crazy hair.

I applied the Mosaic face powder all over with a powder brush.

Look at that pretty skin

I then used a blush brush and brushed the ELF blush onto the apples of my cheeks.
Ta da!

Breakdown of eyeshadow:

The white shimmer from Hard Candy's Blind Date all over
The illuminator from NYC Bryant Park in the inner corners
The darker purple from Bryant Park on the inside lids
The light purple on the lower lash line
The shimmery gray on the outside lids
Hard Candy's turquoise liquid liner on top and bottom lash line
Black eyeliner on the inside bottom lash line
Lancome mascara on top and bottom lashes

I really like the shimmer and how the turquoise looks with my blue eyes

Kind of fun for a night out!

I also bought Covergirl lipstick in siren but I forgot to take a pic

It's VERY pink but I really like it. Kind of nice change from the everyday red. I'm also wearing the pink lippy in the top pictures so you can see, it's pretty when worn with a bit more subdued eye makeup :)

So all together I'm pretty satisfied with my drugstore purchases. The NYC Bryant Park also comes with a cream based primer but I don't like it so I'm sticking with my Urban Decay primer.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! Hopefully I can convince Mr. Darcy to help me start painting my guest bedroom. Pictures soon!

Lots of sorry-I -make-weird-faces-when-doing-closeups-love,

  1. You've always had a way with makeup! We need to do something about that thing you have over the window on your door. Remind me! I have a couple of ideas.
